Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the memori iOS application ("the App"), developed by Steven Diep ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use memori.
Who can use memori
You must be at least 13 years old to use memori. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App. By using memori, you represent that you meet these age requirements.
What memori is, and isn't
memori is a private, personal moment-capture and reflection tool. It is designed for individual, personal use only. memori is not a social network. There are no public profiles, no content feeds, no sharing features, and no mechanisms for other users to view your moments.
You agree not to use memori to:
Violate any applicable law or regulation
Upload or store content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise tamper with the App
Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our servers or infrastructure
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its backend systems
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at sdiep26@scienceleadership.org if you believe your account has been compromised. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we believe have been accessed without authorization.
You may sign in using email and password, Sign In with Apple, or Sign In with Google. Each of these methods is subject to the respective provider's terms in addition to ours.
Your content
Your moments — your journal entries, photos, videos, moods, and all other content you create in memori — belong to you. We do not claim any ownership over your content.
You are solely responsible for the content you store in memori. We do not moderate, review, or access your personal content.
Prohibited camera use
In addition to the prohibited uses listed above, you agree not to use memori's camera or media features to capture, store, or retain content that is illegal, obscene, or violates the privacy or rights of any third party.
Data & privacy
Your use of memori is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully. In summary: your moments are private, we do not sell your data, and free tier users' moment content is stored only on their device.
Important -> Your moment data is stored locally on your device only. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from device loss, app deletion, or failure to maintain an iOS device backup. We strongly recommend keeping iCloud device backups enabled in your iPhone's Settings.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep memori available and working well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes through the App or via email.
If we discontinue the App entirely, we will provide at least 30 days' notice where possible, and Moments+ subscribers will receive a prorated refund for any unused subscription period processed through Apple.
Intellectual property
memori, its design, code, branding, and all associated materials are owned by Steven Diep and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our explicit written permission.
Disclaimer of warranties
memori is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. Your use of memori is at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of memori, including but not limited to loss of data. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you have not made any payments.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Pennsylvania.
Changes to this terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of memori after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
